be動詞
現在形
be動詞の平叙文と平常分からの疑問文（Yes/NoとWh-の両方）の作り方を現在形のシンプルな例文を使って説明します。
平叙文 (Affirmative Sentences – Present Simple with Be Verb):
I am a student. (私は学生です。)
She is happy. (彼女は幸せです。)
They are friends. (彼らは友達です。)
疑問文 (Yes/No Questions using “am/is/are”):
Am I a student? (私は学生ですか？)
Is she happy? (彼女は幸せですか？)
Are they friends? (彼らは友達ですか？)
be動詞の疑問文（Yes, Noで答えるもの）は、be動詞を先頭に持ってきます。
疑問文 (Wh- Questions using “am/is/are”):
Who am I? (私は誰ですか？)
Who are they? (彼らは誰ですか？)
Wh- Questionのbe動詞の疑問文は、be動詞を前に持ってきて、先頭に疑問詞（Wh-）をつけます。
過去形
過去形も同様です。
平叙文 (Affirmative Sentences – Past Simple with Be Verb):
I was tired. (私は疲れていました。)
She was happy. (彼女は幸せでした。)
They were students. (彼らは学生でした。)
疑問文 (Yes/No Questions using “was/were”):

疑問文 (Yes/No Questions using “do/does”):
Do I eat breakfast? (私は朝ごはんを食べますか？)
Does she like to dance? (彼女は踊るのが好きですか？)
Do they play soccer? (彼らはサッカーをしますか？)
現在形の一般動詞の疑問文（Yes, Noで答えるもの）は、先頭にdo（三人称単数現在はdoes）をつけます。
doesをつけた場合は、平叙文の時に動詞についていたsをとり原型にします。

疑問文 (Wh- Questions using “do/does”):
What do I eat? (私は何を食べますか？)
What does she like to do? (彼女は何が好きですか？)
What do they play? (彼らは何をしますか？)
Wh- Questionのbe動詞の疑問文は、疑問文の語順にしたうえで、先頭に疑問詞（Wh-）をつけます。

She watched a movie last night. (彼女は昨夜映画を見ました。)

過去形の一般動詞の疑問文（Yes, Noで答えるもの）は、先頭にdidをつけます。
疑問文 (Wh- Questions using “did”):

Where did they visit last weekend? (彼らは先週末どこに行きましたか？)
